Organic gardening

I don't see the purpose behind organic gardening. It seems like the products cost more money with no benefits. Most of the reasoning behind organic (no or little pesticide to control insects) is moot anyway because of the hybrid seeds that farmers are using these days to to deter insects. Many products consumed by people are much more hazardous than products that farmers use. Salt is a good example. Ever pour salt on a slug? Most of the anti-insecticide hyperbole is brought on by "toxiterrorists". These are people that use lame science to try and prove that insecticides and other products have no or little use to society. They use scare tactics and push sales of or organic and "natural" products to line their pockets. Don't be a sheep and blindly follow the advice and warnings of these ill-informed kooks.
